Movers: Holmes has best week since return

Less than six months removed from brain surgery to repair a Chiari malformation at the base of his skull, J.B. Holmes posted a top-10 finish at the Northern Trust Open. With his tie for eighth at Riviera, Holmes was the week's biggest mover, going from 149th to 70th in the latest standings.

Also on the upswing is 2010 FedExCup champion Jim Furyk. The veteran has picked up where he left off last season, making both cuts to open 2012 and finishing tied for 11 at Riviera to move to No. 79 in the latest standings.

Each of the three players who competed in last week's playoff at Riviera Country Club is now featured inside the FedExCup top 10. Phil Mickelson went from No. 5 to No. 3, while champion Bill Haas and Keegan Bradley each moved from outside the top 20 and into the top 10.

Among those making their season debuts at Riviera, Sergio Garcia had the best showing. Garcia's sensational Sunday 64 lifted him to a T4 finish and a 67th-place standing after his first event of the 2012 PGA TOUR season.
