With the PGA TOUR completing its first event in the continental United States, the FedExCup season is starting to take shape and the 2012 storylines are beginning to develop.
We've already found out that veteran Steve Stricker is going to show little-to-no ill effects from the herniated disk in his neck that bothered him late last season and FedExCup leader Johnson Wagner is playing with more confidence than ever. Both picked up wins in Hawaii.

Now joining the ranks of 2012 winners is Hmana Challenge champion Mark Wilson, who jumped 30 spots to No. 2 in the latest FedExCup standings. Wilson led the FedExCup race for 12 weeks early last season and is again off to a fantastic start.
Another veteran making a move at PGA West was Zach Johnson, who picked up his first top-10 finish since the 2011 World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational and made the week's biggest FedExCup move, charging up 37 spots to No. 31.
Another player who took advantage of an early-season opportunity in La Quinta was Bobby Gates. The second-year TOUR pro initially earned his card via the Nationwide Tour in 2010, then had to go to q-school last year to regain his status.
His tie for eighth at PGA West netted Gates 77.5 FedExCup points -- the second highest single-event total of his career -- and pushed his season total to 99.5 points through two starts. Last season, Gates didn't reach that mark until his eighth start at the Transitions Championship.
The following are the biggest movers -- both up and down -- after the 2012 Humana Challenge.
