Dick's Sporting Goods Open introduces new iPhone app

VESTAL N.Y. -- The Dick's Sporting Goods Open is proud to announce its new iPhone app is now available to download from the iTunes Store for free. This app has been designed for the iPhone, but is also compatible with the iPad and the iPod touch.

With this application you are able to purchase tournament tickets, check the weather, and stay up-to-date with the Champions Tour leaderboard. If you are coming in from out of town, all hotel, restaurant and airport information will be at your fingertips. Not good with directions? Don't worry, this app will help you find the golf course, parking locations, and our local Dick's Sporting Goods stores using Google Maps. The 2011 Dick's Sporting Goods Open will be played at the En-Joie Golf Course June 20-26. Activities throughout the week include a 2-Day Pro-Am, Women's Golf Clinic conducted by World Golf Hall of Fame Member Donna Caponi, and the Friday Concert featuring Grammy Award-winning group Maroon 5 and the Jamie Sadlowski 2-Time RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion Power Golf exhibition after the conclusion of the second round.

Weekly ticket packages are available at a discount price of $50 through May 31 and are available at Dick's Sporting Goods stores and the Tournament Office, 1901 Vestal Parkway. For additional information about these events, please call the Tournament Office at (607) 205-1500.
