Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of Friday's second round
BILL HAAS
Haas is making his eighth start in the Wells Fargo Championship. His previous best finish was a T4 in 2006. Haas finished T29 last year. He began the final round T7, but a final-round, 4-over 76 dropped him to the T29 finish. In his 12th start of the season, Haas is looking for his third career TOUR win. His best finish of the year was a playoff loss earlier this year to Jhonattan Vegas at the Bob Hope Classic. Haas has previously held at least a share of the first-round lead four times. The only one which resulted in victory was the 2010 Viking Classic.

DAVID TOMS
The 2003 Wells Fargo Championship winner shot a 6-under 66 in round one, highlighted by an eagle at the par-5 seventh. Following a 305-yard drive, Toms hit his second shot to within five feet and sank the putt for the eagle. He will begin the second round T2. After missing the cut in last year's event, Toms is making his seventh start at Quail Hollow. Following his win, his two best finishes were a T17 in 2008 and a T18 in 2009. Toms, a 12-time winner on TOUR is looking for his first win since the 2006 Sony Open in Hawaii. His longest stretch between wins previously has been two years. Coming off a T18 last week at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in his home state, Toms is making his ninth start of the season this week. Thus far, he has collected a pair of top-5 finishes. He finished T5 at the Mayakoba Golf Classic and T3 a month later at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

JONATHAN BYRD
The 2011 Hyundai Tournament of Champions winner posted a near flawless 6-under 66 in round one. His lone bogey amidst seven birdies came at the par-3 fourth hole. Byrd is making his eighth start at Quail Hollow this week. He has previously made just one cut, a T5 in 2009. Byrd is making his 11th start of the season. In the year's first event, he defeated Robert Garrigus with a par-4 on the second playoff hole to claim his fifth PGA TOUR victory, and second straight in playoff fashion. At last year's Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Byrd recorded a hole-in-one on the fourth playoff hole to defeat defending champion Martin Laird and then-rookie Cameron Percy.

LUCAS GLOVER
Greenville's Lucas Glover shot a 5-under 67 in round one of the Wells Fargo Championship, despite hitting just eight of 14 fairways. The 67 matches his lowest round at the Quail Hollow Club (Round 3/2006). Glover is making his eighth start at Quail Hollow this week, a venue where he has enjoyed considerable success over the years. He has missed just one cut in his previous seven starts (2005). Despite that missed cut, he has amassed three top-10 finishes, highlighted by a T2 in 2009. Making his eighth start of the season this week, Glover is in search of his first top-10 finish of the year and first since the 2010 Wyndham Championship in nearby Greensboro.
