Matchups Game: World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational

Week six of the Matchups Game takes us to the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational as well as what may be the most exciting week for selections yet, as Tiger Woods makes his much anticipated return to golf as well as his debut to the Matchups Game.

To review, each week fans are able to select the players they think will play the best from five head-to-head matchups. Correct picks are awarded two points, ties receive one point, and any fans with a perfect week can earn two bonus points.

World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational

TIGER WOODS vs. PHIL MICKELSON The two biggest names in golf are each hungry to return to the winner's circle. Woods has won seven times at Firestone; Mickelson has one win and three runner-up finishes. RORY MCILROY vs. DARREN CLARKE It's Youth vs. Establishment and countryman vs. countryman in this matchup from guest celebrity Geoff Shackelford. These two Northern Irishmen have won the last two majors. RICKIE FOWLER vs. JASON DAY Two of the PGA TOUR's brightest young stars in the 22-year-old Fowler and the 23-year-old Day. Each is making his second start at the Bridgestone Invitational. LUKE DONALD vs. NICK WATNEY Each already has one win this season at a World Golf Championships event, Donald at the Accenture Match Play Championship and Watney at the Cadillac Championship. HUNTER MAHAN vs. STEVE STRICKER A year ago, Mahan produced a final-round 64 to win at Firestone. Stricker has finished in the top 10 the past two years, and enters this week ranked No. 2 in FedExCup points.
