STORYLINES FOR SATURDAY:
If the wind is blowing again Saturday, look for another very difficult scoring day at TPC San Antonio.
Not only did Rich Beem make his first cut of 2011 this week, he's one of seven tied for the lead.
Defending champion Adam Scott grinded through his second round and is just one shot back.

Here are some of the players you'll see on the CBS's coverage of Saturday's third round
RICH BEEM
Beem made his first cut since the 2010 Shell Houston Open (T73). After the 2010 Shell Houston Open, he missed the next six months after surgery on a bulging disc in his neck. Beem returned last October and missed the cut at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and Childrens Miracle Network Classic. He started 2011 by missing his first six cuts of the season.

KEVIN SUTHERLAND
This is Sutherlands third second-round lead/co-lead on TOUR. His last was in 2004 at THE PLAYERS Championship. He has held eight first-round leads/co-leads, two second-round leads/co-leads and three third-round leads/co-leads on TOUR, but has not converted any into victory. He finished second each of the three times he has held the third-round lead/co-lead.
|
BRANDT SNEDEKER
Coming into this week Snedeker had only made four of nine cuts, but he has finished inside the top 25 each of the four and in the top 10 three times. He has had four previous second-round leads/co-leads. His best finish was third at the 2007 Buick Invitational.
