Player notes
Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of Thursday's first round
JASON DAY
Has been one of the most consistent performers as of late carding three consecutive top 10s in his last 3 starts on TOUR. Day has now played 11 of his last 12 rounds at par or better on the PGA TOUR. He has five top 10s in his first 10 starts of the 2011 season including a T-2nd finish at the Masters.
BRANDT SNEDEKER
Has been one of the best putters on TOUR this year ranking fourth in strokes gained putting (.885 strokes gained putting per round). He also ranks fifth in one-putts, T-8th in putts per round and fifth for feet of putts made per round.
LUCAS GLOVER
Is coming off a disappointing finish at THE PLAYERS last week with closing rounds of 7477. However, with his win two weeks ago at the Wells Fargo Championship, Glover stills finds himself in good position in the FedExCup standings, in 30th. Glover still remains one of the best putters on TOUR ranking second in strokes gained putting, gaining 1.012 strokes on the field with his putter per round. He continues to lead the TOUR for putts made over 10 feet per event converting 8.3 putts per event from beyond 10 feet, more than double that of the TOUR average of 4.3.
