Here are some of the players you'll see on the NBC's coverage of Saturday's third round
CHRIS KIRK
Playing in just his 18th PGA TOUR event as a professional, Chris Kirk has the 36-hole lead this week at the Shell Houston Open. With rounds of 66-69, Kirk tied his career low 36 hole total at 135 (tied with the 2011 Sony Open in Hawaii where he finished T30). Entering the week, Kirk had played his previous 11 consecutive rounds on TOUR at par or worse (25 over par in his last 11 rounds on TOUR). This week, Kirk is currently 9-under-par through two rounds with 13 birdies.
ANTHONY KIM
Defending Shell Houston Open champion Anthony Kim finds himself in contention again this year. He is now 20 under par in his last six rounds at Redstone GC hitting just 33 of 84 fairways (39 percent). Kim needed just 22 putts in the second round Friday (one better than his previous career low of 23 in a round).
JOHNSON WAGNER
Johnson Wagner and Tim Petrovic are the only players yet to record a bogey through the first two rounds at Redstone GC this week. Wagners last bogey on TOUR came on 11th hole of the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard (43 consecutive bogey-free holes since). The last time Wagner had two bogey-free rounds in the same event was at the 2011 Mayakoba Classic when he went bogey-free in the second and final rounds en route to his most recent victory.
