Player Notes
Here are some of the players you'll see during Sunday's coverage on CBS:
WEBB SIMPSON
The Wake Forest graduate sits 12th in the FedExCup standings and is the highest-ranked player in the field without a 2011 PGA TOUR victory. With a win, the 54-hole leader Simpson would move to No. 3 in the FedExCup standings. Players inside the FedExCup top five heading into the fourth and final playoff event control their own FedExCup destiny; any player inside the top five who wins the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola will win the FedExCup and the $10 million first-place prize.
TOMMY GAINEY
Gainey is looking to become the third straight first-time PGA TOUR winner at the Wyndham Championship (Ryan Moore/2009 and Arjun Atwal/2010).
CARL PETTERSSON
Pettersson hit 14-of-14 fairways for the fifth time in his career en route to his 7-under-par 63. The last time Pettersson accomplished the feat was Round 3 of the 2010 RBC Canadian Open when he posted a career-low 60.
