The third round of the Wyndham Championship is set to begin. The Golf Channel will televise live action Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET with CBS picking up coverage from 3 to 6 p.m. ET.

| Gaineys only other lead on TOUR coming into this week was earlier this year when he held sole possession of the lead after the first three rounds of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Gainey sits 40th in the FedExCup standings. A win this week could move him as high as No. 14. Gainey has never qualified for the Playoffs. |

| After finishing T57 at the Transitions Championship in March, Appleby missed his next six cuts, finished T16 at the Crowne Plaza Invitational, missed a cut, WDd, missed a cut, was disqualified, missed two more cuts then finished 76th at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Luckily, Appleby had four top 25s in his first seven events to start the season. |

| Ernie Els is making his second career start at Wyndham Championship. He finished T9 in 1997 the year Frank Nobilo defeated Brad Faxon in a sudden-death playoff. Els is one of five players to have played in all four TOUR Championships by Coca-Cola since the inception of the FedExCup in 2007. The others: Steve Stricker, Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk. |
