Player Notes
Here are some of the players you'll see during Thursday's coverage on the Golf Channel:
DAVID TOMS
Toms is making his 13th appearance at the Wyndham Championship this week. In his previous 12 starts he has two top 10s including a runner-up finish last year. Hes now played 15 of his last 16 rounds under par at the Wyndham Championship.
ERNIE ELS
Last year at this time, Els led the FedExCup standings and was preparing for his stretch run in the Playoffs. A year later, if the season ended today, Els would be out of the Playoffs. Ernie is making his first start at the Wyndham Championship since 1997 when he finished T-9th.
JUSTIN LEONARD
Leonard currently ranks 142nd in the FedExCup standings having yet to card a top-10 finish in the 2011 Regular Season. His last top-10 finish ironically came at the 2010 Wyndham Championship where he carded a T3. Leonard has played 11 of 12 career rounds at par or better at the Wyndham Championship.
