Player notes
Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of Friday's second round
ROBERT ALLENBY
Winner of the Northern Trust Open in 2001 following a six-way playoff, the Australian carded the only bogey-free round of the day, a 4-under-par 67, to share the first round lead. In addition to his victory, Allenby also recorded top 10s at the Northern Trust Open in 2005 (T7), 2007 (T3) and 2008 (T7). A four-time winner on the PGA TOUR, Allenbys last victory came at the 2001 Marconi Pennsylvania Classic, a stretch of 236 starts on TOUR. During that span he has posted 53 top 10s.
JOHN SENDEN
His opening 67 was just his second sub-70 score in 17-career rounds at Riviera CC, bettering a 2-under 69 in the second round in 2002. In six previous starts at the Northern Trust Open Sendens best result was a T51 in 2007. Winner of the 2006 John Deere Classic, Senden has made one cut in four starts on the PGA TOUR in 2011, finishing T20 at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
AARON BADDELEY
The Australian fired a 4-under 67 and shares the first-round lead. Baddeley arrived at Riviera Country Club following a T6 last week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, his first top 10 of the 2011 PGA TOUR season. Baddeley has made the cut in all eight career starts at the Northern Trust Open with his best result a T7 in 2005. It marks just the second time in his career he has held the lead/co-lead after the first round (2003 Bay Hill Invitational).
