Round 2 Player Notes
Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of the second round:
J.J. Henry
In his first action since last year's Deutsche Bank Championship, Henry got off to a quick start with an eagle on his very first hole. "I got on the first hole, I had a perfect number with a wedge and you're a little nervous, tight, haven't played a tournament in four months and it's a pretty tight pin and hit this perfect shot that never left the flag and right in the middle of the hole," he said.
Ricky Barnes
Had four consecutive birdies on his second nine Wednesday at Silver Rock and trails by just two shots. An even-par second round hindered Barnes in this event last year, but a good Thursday showing could put him in position to contend for win No. 1 this weekend.
Kenny Perry
The 50-year-old 1995 Bob Hope Classic champion showed he can still play with the kids with an opening round 65 that has him in a tie for 20th. Perry's Wednesday scorecard included an eagle sandwiched between two bogeys and just 24 putts on the afternoon.
