Fantasy Cheat Sheet
Nos. 201-246
Rank Player Age 2011 earnings Comment
Scott McCarron 46 436K Finished 145th on the money list to earn conditional status a second straight year. Just one top 10 in each of the last two years.
Alex Cejka 41 344K Given five starts on a Major Medical Extension after an extended allergy attack. Didn't play anywhere for 11 weeks, and then played three times late.
Darren Clarke 43 1.491M Non-member. Only top 30 in 10 starts since winning the British Open and that was a last-place showing at the 12-man Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Dean Wilson 42 401K Made 10 cuts in 22 starts and finished 151st in earnings. Given four starts on a Minor Medical Extension due to back pain. Just $10,629 short of conditional status.
Hank Kuehne 36 -- Out since 2007 with a back injury but he's chomping at the bit to return. Still has 18 starts remaining on a Major Medical Extension.
Miguel Angel Jimenez 47 486K Non-member. So much for slowing down. A 3-1 record at the WGC-Match Play was the highlight in the U.S. but he managed three more top fives worldwide.
Troy Kelly 33 13K Nationwide Tour grad was a rookie on the PGA TOUR in 2009. Zero top 40s in his last seven starts in 2011.
Marco Dawson 48 104K Only salary gamers should consider reserving space for the q-school grad. Hasn't cracked the top 125 in earnings on the PGA TOUR since 2003.
Kyle Reifers 28 -- Owns worst year-ending world ranking (470th) among the Nationwide Tour grads. Second stint on the PGA TOUR (2007).
Alexandre Rocha 34 225K Finished 184th on the money list as a rookie in 2011. Has the pedigree (former first-team All-American; nine wins abroad), but needs connect more with it.
Matt Jones 31 602K Finished 133rd on the money list. Closed with a 75 at q-school to play his way outside the top 25. Brutally hot-and-cold all year.
Charlie Beljan 27 -- Rookie. Gamers are cautious of guys with little experience on the PGA and Nationwide Tours (collective 1-for-4) that get hot at q-school.
Michael Bradley 45 935K Puerto Rico victory equaled two-thirds of his earnings. His wins there in 2009 and 2011 are his only top 10s in the last 11 years.
Daniel Summerhays 28 301K Tough to invest with confidence in the q-school grad after an 8-for-29 in 2011.
Derek Lamely 31 301K Finished 172nd on the money list but remains fully exempt through 2012. Lone top 10 in 58 career starts is his victory in Puerto Rico in 2010.
Will Claxton 30 11K Rookie. Not enough experience and too deep in the reshuffle to deserve our attention.
Edward Loar 34 -- Rookie. The left-handed q-school grad might be overdue to break in but he hasn't impressed in his couple of cups of coffee on the Nationwide Tour.
Scott Brown 28 -- Rookie. Nationwide Tour grad has never played in a PGA TOUR event. Augusta, Ga. native steady, not spectacular through his bag. Needs to hit more greens, too.
Matt McQuillan 30 582K Came on strong in the second half after a swing change clicked to finish 137th on the money list, but partial status will prevent momentum.
Michael Putnam 28 398K Healing slowly from a fractured bone in his left wrist. The timing of his return is uncertain. Given four starts on a medical extension in the reshuffle category.
Matteo Manassero 18 331K Non-member. Faded in the second half to fall outside top 50 in world ranking. Also finished 31st in Race to Dubai, so he's not eligible for any WGCs or majors yet.
Jose Coceres 48 -- After two and a half years outside the ropes, won in his return on the Tour de las Americas in December. Still has six starts remaining on a Major Medical Extension.
Arron Oberholser 36 -- Fourteen starts on his Major Medical Extension. Once targeted 2012 for a return. Last event was in October 2009. Salary game flier.
Rocco Mediate 49 136K Finished 206th on the money list but remains fully exempt through 2012. Lone top 50 occurred in 32-man season opener at Kapalua. Will turn 50 in December.
Zack Miller 27 427K Finished 147th on the money list. Last of three top 25s occurred in his fifth of 30 starts. Non-winners on conditional status have the toughest road to pave.
John Huh 21 -- Rookie. Virtual unknown out of q-school. Has never played in a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event.
Joe Affrunti 30 18K Retains rookie status. Went 2-for-6 before having surgery to repair the rotator cuff in his left shoulder. Given 13 starts on a medical extension in the reshuffle category.
Chad Collins 33 183K Fractured ribs ended his season in June. Given nine starts on a Major Medical Extension.
Jeff Klauk 34 34K Eight events on a Major Medical Extension. Had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder on July 7. Hasn't played since June.
Joey Snyder III 38 -- Still has 25 starts on a Major Medical Extension. After five years off, went 0-for-5 on Nationwide Tour late in 2011.
Mike Weir 41 23K Awarded three starts on a Non-exempt Medical Extension. Hopeful for a return in February. Has accepted membership on the European Tour.
Marc Turnesa 33 299K Went 8-for-20 with on top 25 (T5, Transitions). The one-time winner has one start remaining on a Major Medical Extension.
Peter Tomasulo 30 115K Limited to 12 starts in 2011 due to a fractured rib. Awarded 12 starts on a medical extension in the reshuffle category.
Kenny Perry 51 110K Finished 212th on the money list but remains fully exempt through 2014. Juggled 13 starts (zero top 30s) with 10 on the Champions Tour (five top fives).
Jesper Parnevik 46 37K Given 15 starts on a Major Medical Extension for back and neck injuries. Made three of 10 cuts in 2011.
Fred Funk 55 11K Split time on PGA and Champions Tour. Didn't play after July due to surgery in his left hand (thumb). Granted six starts on a Major Medical Extension.
