The Starter: Frys.com Open, Round 2

The second round of the Frys.com Open is set to begin. Golf Channel will televise live action from CordeValle Golf Club from 4-8 p.m. ET.

Tee time Players   12:50 p.m. ET No. 1 Louis Oosthuizen, Tiger Woods, Patrick Cantlay They faced some tough conditions in the afternoon at CordeValle. The amateur is only two strokes off the lead. 5:10 p.m. ET No. 1 Kevin Na, Rocco Mediate, Troy Matteson The defending champion settled for an even 71. Na and Matteson are in the hunt at 2- and 3-under respectively. 5:20 p.m. ET No. 10 Scott Piercy, Brendan Steele, Ben Crane Despite being tired, rookie Steele has a shot at his second win of the season. Piercy's not far behind; Crane has work to do.

WHAT TO WATCH IN ROUND 2
• Tiger and the cut: For all of Woods' poor shots Thursday, it was the putter that plagued him the most in his first round. In fact, he referred to it as "one of the worst putting rounds I've ever had." Story

• Bubble boys: Matt Jones entered the Frys.com Open ranked 123rd on the money list, barely hanging on to a top 125 spot. He shot a 68 in the opening round to put himself in good position to make a move. Story

• Early leaders: It's been quite a long season for rookie Brendan Steele, who won earlier at the Valero Texas Open, and he's starting to run out of energy. Will his leading position motivate him through the weekend? Story
