The Fall Series continues this week at the Frys.com Open. Here's how PGATOUR.COM's experts sized up the top contenders at CordeValle.

PAUL GOYDOS. He's a California guy and is coming off a tie for third in Las Vegas last week so the stars seem to be aligning for Goydos. He's also opened with a 65 here last year so he's got that going for him.

John
Schwarb
TIM HERRON. Lumpy came into last week at No. 50 on the all-time Fall Series money list and is higher now after a T5 at Las Vegas. He was T13 at Frys last year; no reason why he shouldn't keep excelling in the fall.
Lauren
Deason
CHRIS STROUD. This guy always turns it on in the Fall Series. He made it all the way into the third leg of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup this year to secure his card for 2012. With no worry about the top 125, look for him to turn it on this week at CordeValle.
Helen
Ross
WILLIAM MCGIRT. His solid run through the Playoffs should have given this rookie confidence. Ten of McGirt's last 15 rounds have been in the 60s -- and only one above par -- so he's playing well. He's close to securing his 2012 card and will want to close it out this week.
John
Swantek
BILLY HORSCHEL. After missing 13 of his first 18 cuts, he's made four straight without finishing out of the top 30 in his last three starts. he tied for 16th at TPC Summerlin. At 154th on the money list, a late season surge to keep his card continues.
Mike
McAllister
KEVIN STADLER. Tied for sixth here last year and comes off a top-25 finish last week in Las Vegas. Ranks 165th in Strokes Gained-Putting for the year but ranked 20th at TPC Summerlin, so perhaps the putter's heating up.
Amanda
Balionis
BOO WEEKLEY. Boo has had a rough 2011 season, but the two time PGA TOUR Winner knows how to compete when it counts, and right now the veteran needs to be scrambling to keep his card. Boo has just a couple more tournaments to get inside the top 125. Tied for 29th last week.
Anne
Szeker
ALEX PRUGH. This pick is based entirely on his performance at last year's Frys.com when he finished runner-up. Hasn't done much this season on TOUR -- 15 missed cuts, but coming into CordeValle last year he had also missed several cuts. C'mon good memories.
Ryan
Smithson
PATRICK CANTLAY. Tough to gauge how his game will stand up over the course of 72 holes, but it's becoming very obvious that his this kid has the potential to win 10 times or more on TOUR. He's that good. Bonus: Home state event for him.
Chris
Dunham
BUD CAULEY. I'm taking Cauley after the Cantlay pick to let the kids fight it out. Since turning professional at the U.S. Open, the 21-year old has made five cuts in six TOUR starts including a tie for 4th at the Viking Classic. He's hitting an impressive 70 percent of his greens in regulation.
