2002 Skins Game Woods and Mickelson were part of the foursome at the two-day event that also included Mark O'Meara and Fred Couples. Mickelson won three skins worth $300,000 while Woods won four skins worth $125,000. O'Meara led with the most skins (eight) and money ($405,000). |
2004 Ryder Cup U.S. captain Hal Sutton decided to pair Woods and Mickelson for the first day of the event against the Europeans. In the four-ball competition, Woods-Mickelson lost 2 and 1 to Colin Montgomerie and Padraig Harrington. In the foursomes competition, Woods-Mickelson lost 1 up to Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood. |
2009 HSBC Champions In the final round, Woods and Mickelson were in the same group. Mickelson shot 69 en route to winning the tournament while Woods shot 72. This was a World Golf Championships event but not an official PGA TOUR event. |
