MORE: Interactive Kodak Challenge Scorecards

The Kodak Challenge is a first-of-its-kind competition for PGA TOUR players, who must play at least 18 of the 30 Kodak Challenge holes to be eligible to win. A player's lowest score relative to par on his best 18 Kodak Challenge holes will be counted. The player with the lowest cumulative score relative to par wins $1 million and the Kodak Challenge trophy.

THIS WEEK: No. 17 at TPC Summerlin -- 358 yards, Par 4
The 17th at CordeValle is a short, drivable par-4 of 290 to 325 yards. The green is receptive to a long shot for the back of it is bowl shaped, causing balls to roll toward the center of the green. The picturesque hole is fronted by a lake short, right and by the magnificent Clos la Chance Winery in the back.

Final round
Briny Baird chipped in for a Kodak eagle from 38 feet out of the greenside rough to force a playoff with Bryce Molder during the final round of the Frys.com Open. Baird's eagle was one of five recorded Sunday on Kodak Challenge hole No. 17. Playing from the forward tees for the second consecutive day, the par 4 No. 17 gave the pros plenty of scoring chances. Baird was the only pro to post a Kodak eagle during each of the final two rounds. Baird ultimately lost the playoff to Mulder.

Also posting Kodak eagles during the final round of the Frys.com Open were Fabian Gomez, David Hearn, Billy Horschel and Marc Leishman. Horschel had the easiest eagle on No. 17 Sunday after landing his tee shot to just over 8 feet.

Kodak Challenge leader Bill Lunde (-19) was cut Friday. He leads the Kodak Challenge by two strokes over Cameron Tringale with two holes to go. Tringale fell victim to the third round cut, and consequently did not have an opportunity to play Kodak hole Sunday.

The next Kodak Challenge hole, and the second-to-last of the 2011 season, is the par 4 No. 13 at the McGladrey Classic on October 13-16 in Sea Island, Ga.

Kodak Challenge hole No. 17 at CordeValle Golf Club was the easiest hole at the Frys.com Open during Sunday's final round, yielding 5 eagles, 39 birdies, 27 pars.
Third round
Thanks to a favorable tee position, PGA TOUR pros had a great scoring opportunity on Kodak Challenge hole No. 17 at CordeValle Golf Club during the third round of the Frys.com Open. Third-round leader Briny Baird delivered the Kodak Moment of the Day, landing his 290-yard drive to 15 feet, setting up his eagle to give him a two-shot lead in the Frys.com Open.

In addition to Baird, Will MacKenzie, Brandt Jobe and Chris Stroud each delivered Kodak eagles Saturday. Mackenzie had the easiest eagle of the day after landing his drive to 11 feet.

After Kodak Challenge leader Bill Lunde missed the cut, current runner-up Cameron Tringale had a chance today to further narrow Lunde's formidable two-shot lead. Tringale was unable to advance Saturday, playing the Kodak hole at par. With the shorter tees on Sunday, Trinagle will get another chance.

After this week, just two holes remain in the 2011 Kodak Challenge.

Kodak Challenge hole No. 17 at CordeValle Golf Club was the easiest hole at the Frys.com Open during Saturday's third round, yielding 4 eagles, 47 birdies, 26 pars and three bogeys.
Second round
Cameron Tringale sank a 24-footer for birdie on hole No. 17 at CordeValle Golf Club during the second round of the Frys.com Open. Tringale moved to 17-under-par in the $1 million Kodak Challenge competition, two shots behind leader, Bill Lunde.

Tournament leader Paul Casey joined Tringale in delivering the longest Kodak birdie of the day from 24 feet. Vaughn Taylor also birdied the 358-yard par 4 No. 17 to move to 15-under-par. Kevin Tway had the easiest Kodak birdie Friday from three feet.

Tringale only has a few more chances left this season to catch Lunde before the Kodak competition concludes in two weeks. With one hole to play (the second round was suspended due to darkness), he looks to have made the cut; which provides him an additional scoring opportunity this weekend. With shorter 3rd & 4th round tee positions, the drivable par 4 gives Tringale a chance to further close in on Lunde. Last year, No. 17 yielded nine eagles from the shorter tees on Saturday and Sunday.

Kodak Challenge hole No. 17 at CordeValle Golf Club was the third easiest hole at the Frys.com Open during Thursday's first round. No. 17 yielded 21 birdies, 70 pars and 11 bogeys.
First round
Joseph Bramlett delivered the Kodak Moment of the Day, holing out from 84 yards to card the lone Kodak eagle during the first round of the Frys.com Open. Top Kodak Challenge contenders Bill Lunde and Cameron Tringale couldn't match Bramlett's heroics, as each played hole No. 17 at CordeValle Golf Club at par Thursday. Lunde holds a three shot lead in the $1 million Kodak Challenge with just three holes to go in the competition.

Josh Teater, Tommy Gainey and Jarrod Lyle each advanced a stroke on the Kodak leaderboard Thursday. Teater sunk a four-footer to move to 16-under-par, while Lyle and Gainey each moved to 15-under with birdies on the 358-yard par 4.

The Kodak Challenge recognizes a player's best 18 Kodak scores throughout the year. Once a player has played 18 holes he can replace poorer scores with better ones. Cameron Tringale's "best" 18 scores are 16 birdies and two pars. Because of this, he can potentially move up 2-3 shots over his next two holes (Adding an eagle and a birdie to his card would move him to -19). If he can make it to the weekend at CordeValle, Tringale will have a chance, as shorter 3rd & 4th round tee positions make No. 17 a drivable par 4. Last year, No. 17 yielded nine eagles from the shorter tees on Saturday and Sunday.

Kodak Challenge hole #17 at CordeValle Golf Club was the third easiest hole at the Frys.com Open during Thursday's first round. Hole No. 17 yielded one eagle, 32 birdies, 89 par and 10 bogeys.
