With the TOUR splitting time between the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational and Reno-Tahoe Open last week, there were twice the normal opportunities to earn valuable FedExCup points as the Regular Season winds down.

The PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup begin Aug. 25 with the top 125 players in the FedExCup standings heading to Plainfield Country Club for The Barclays.
Making the most of last week's opportunity was Scott Piercy, who picked up his first career PGA TOUR victory in Reno and moved from outside the 125-man cut line safely into the Playoffs at No. 80 in the latest standings. Also moving into the Playoffs picture, but not quite as safe as Piercy, was Steve Flesch, who moved from 140th to 115th.
Adam Scott's victory at Firestone propelled him from 50th to 15th in the standings. That move is important because only the top 30 players on the points list after the BMW Championship will be eligible to compete in the Playoffs finale: the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.
Moving in the wrong direction at the wrong time were Zack Miller, Steven Bowditch and Cameron Beckman -- this week's biggest fallers. Miller dropped from 131st to 138th and is currently 30 FedExCup points behind Camilo Villegas, who sits on the bubble at No. 125. Bowditch (119th) and Beckman (124th) each dropped seven spots and are on the cusp of losing their positions in the Playoffs.
The following are the biggest movers -- up and down -- after the Bridgestone Invitational/Reno-Tahoe Open week. Players in bold will have a chance to bounce back, or continue improving their position this week at the PGA Championship.
