TAMPA, Fla. -- Officials at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am announced their plans to pay tribute to America's military for their service, sacrifice, and courage through a week-long "Military Salute." The "2010 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am Military Salute" will honor our active and retired troops in numerous and various ways including, but not limited to, complimentary, multi-day admission into the tournament. Free Admission is granted to active, guard, reserves and retirees with proper military identification. Children under 18 are always admitted free with a ticket-holding adult.

"The daily sacrifice of our troops so that we can enjoy freedom in our country is not overlooked by the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am," said Tournament Director Amy Hawk. "This week-long salute is the least we can do to thank them for their service. This year, we hope to have many military and their families come and watch the world's best golfers."

In addition to free general admission, the 2010 tournament invites the United States Armed Forces to enjoy this premier Champions Tour event in style. The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am is expanding its hospitality to our military with the unveiling of the inaugural Military Bunker presented by JCI Jones Chemicals, Inc. located on the 18th fairway. The Military Bunker hospitality tent is exclusively reserved for the troops and their families, offering great Champions Tour golf viewing, complimentary Aussie-Tizers by Outback Steakhouse, Anheuser-Busch drafts, and Coca-Coca products. "JCI Jones Chemical, Inc. is an 80-year-old family owned company that has for generations made it a mission to assure that our American Heroes' service never goes unnoticed or unappreciated," said Jeff Jones, JCI Jones Chemical President. "We are happy to partner with the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am and hope to continue our support for many years to come."

On Champions Sunday, the tournament will conclude the week-long "Military Salute" with three final tributes. For the first tribute, spectators will be handed yellow ribbons as they enter through admission to wear. The second is a day-long commemoration to our Wounded Heroes. James A. Haley VA Hospital's wounded soldiers will sit in an exclusive patriotically marked section on the 18th green. Each Champions Tour professional will honor these courageous individuals with a salute and handshake as they leave the green. Once the final putt is made, the 2010 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am will conclude the "Military Salute" with a U.S. Military parachute jump.

"This year one of our benefiting charities is Operation Homefront-Florida, a non-profit organization that provides emergency and morale support for active troops, veterans and their families," said Hawk. "This is one more way our tournament and the Tampa Bay community has the opportunity to give back to those who give so much."

The 2010 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am will take place on April 12-18 at TPC Tampa Bay in Lutz, Fla. Tickets are available for purchase by calling the tournament office at 813-265-4653 or visiting http://www.outbackproam.com/. Grounds Admission tickets can be purchases for $10 off the gate price at Gulf to Bay or North Dale Marbry locations of Golfsmith.
