SCAD graduate wins poster design contest in Savannah

2010 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf winning poster design by SCAD graduate Rylan Francis

SAVANNAH, Ga. --The Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf and Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) have named 2009 SCAD graduate Rylan Francis winner of the 8th annual poster design contest.

The unveiling of the winning design took place at a ceremony held on Wednesday at The Club at Savannah Harbor on Hutchinson Island. The poster design contest was open to all SCAD undergraduate and graduate students. A panel of judges from the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa and Savannah College of Art and Design selected Francis' design as the winning poster. Francis will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, which was accepted at the ceremony on his behalf by representatives from SCAD.

The winning design will serve as official art for the 2010 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf tournament and will be displayed at area golf pro shops and local retail outlets to promote the event around the region. The contest is held in association with the Champions Tour's premier all-team event, which will be held at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, April 19-25, 2010.
