NORTON, Mass. -- Here's a quick look at the latest FedExCup projections and implications following the second round of the Deutsche Bank Championship:

Who's out

Who's in trouble
These players started inside the top 70 but are currently projected to finish outside the top 70, which is the field size for next week's BMW Championship

Top-five watch
Here's how the top five in points going into the Deutsche Bank Championship fared on Saturday:
1. MATT KUCHAR Barclays winner is 11 under and one shot out of lead
2. STEVE STRICKER Defending champ is lurking at 9 under after Saturday's 68
3. MARTIN LAIRD Last week's playoff loser is only five strokes off the pace
4. JUSTIN ROSE Missed cut has him projected to fall six spots to 10th
5. ERNIE ELS May have righted the ship after bogey-free 67
The top five in the FedExCup points standings is important, since the top five going into THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola control their own fate in regards to winning the FedExCup.
Bubble watch
Bubble Tournament Comment
70 BMW Championship Matt Jones continues to rise after a second-round 70. The Aussie is now projected at NO. 59 while Fredrik Jacobson, falling 20 spots, is now on the hot seat after Saturday's 76 left him well back at 1 under.
30 THE TOUR Championship Carl Pettersson started the week on the bubble but missed the cut and is projected to fall to 39th. D.J. Trahan, meanwhile, is moving in the right direction. He's tied for sixth and has climbed 21 spots to replace Pettersson as the bubble boy.
