FREDRIK JACOBSON. This guy is one of the best players on TOUR without a victory. Missed the cut last week but still ranks eighth on TOUR in Scoring Average. Lack of driving accuracy won't hurt him as badly here. |
Ryan Smithson |
 | VIJAY SINGH. This is a pure For Love of the Game pick. He can still move the ball 300 yards at age 47 -- he just needs to get the putter going. I need someone who is going to make the cut, and this guy won't miss the weekend.

MARC LEISHMAN. Always a solid guy to have as a sleeper pick. He should have good memories of TPC Boston after making an eagle on the 72nd hole last year to vault into a tie for 15th and earn a spot at Cog Hill. Big hitters thrive here.

JASON DUFNER. Dufner comes off a missed cut at The Barclays that dropped him 20 spots in the FedExCup standings. But he tied for second at TPC Boston last year, closing with a 65 in the final round.
Casey Black |
JOHN SENDEN. He moved up in the FedExCup standings from 99th to 64th as a result of his tied for 15th at The Barclays. He's also performed well at TPC Boston, finishing tied for 11th in '09.
Anne Szeker |
D.J. TRAHAN. He ranks 14th in driving distance and fifth in GIR -- two things that should come in handy at TPC Boston for the 51st-ranked player. This could be the first year he makes it all the way to the THE TOUR Championship.
John Swantek |
TIM PETROVIC. He had a top-25 at The Barclays with three rounds in the 60s. His relaxed, unhurried demeanor is perfect for the Playoffs. The native New Englander will be in comfortable territory this week.
Lauren Deason |
 | |
BRANDT SNEDEKER. He's been my go-to guy all year in the sleeper picks. Mysteriously missed the cut last week after shooting 67 in the first round, but still has two top-25s in his last two starts.
