EXPERT PREVIEW: PGA TOUR NETWORK on-site correspondent Doug Bell previews Round 3:

Jeff Overton started hitting his driver with authority at St. Andrews and so far this week at The Greenbier, the big stick has continued to serve him well again. His mammoth drives have left him with short irons on most all of the par 4's and he's 5-under on the two par 5's for the week. As long as the driver remains his best friend he will be very hard to beat Sunday. These fairways are very generous and it's difficult to get into trouble off the tee.

Overton and many of the other guys with late final-round tee times attended the Carrie Underwood/Brad Paisley concert Saturday night. Brendon de Jonge told me he's not a big country and western fan but he was hoping to relax and unwind before the final round. Brendon remains a fan favorite with his Virginia Tech roots. Hokies football coach Frank Beamer and basketball coach Seth Greenberg among those following him yesterday and again today.
Rain has left the course soft and vulnerable for someone to make a run at 59. On Saturday, J.B.Holmes and D.A. Points flirted with the magical number. During Sunday play, watch some of the players who are going early when the bent grass greens are perfect to try and join the elite fraternity.
Also keep an eye on the front left hole location at the par-3, 18th. I still can't believe we haven't seen an ace. Every fan who is sitting at 18 when and if it happens wins 100 bucks for the first one, 500 for the second and 1,000 for the third.
When all is said and done, though, Overton should be the big winner Sunday.
