Jim Furyk, No. 1 in the Final FedExCup Standings, 67-65-70-70 -- 272, -8, 1st
Furyk was a perfect 9 of 9 in sand saves this week, including hitting a 57-foot, 7-inch sand shot to 26 inches for the clinching putt on the 72nd hole.
The win is a career-high third of the season for Furyk (Transitions Championship, The Heritage, THE TOUR Championship). He posted two wins during the 2003 and 2006 seasons.
Furyk hit 53 of 72 greens this week, tied with Nick Watney for best among the 30-player field.
Furyk was ruled ineligible for the first Playoff event at The Barclays for missing his Wednesday pro-am tee time. As a result, he dropped to No. 8 in the standings. A T37 finish at the Deutsche Bank Championship dropped him to No. 11 in the standings. He then finished T15 at the BMW Championship to enter THE TOUR Championship as the No. 11 seed.
Luke Donald, No. 3 in the Final FedExCup Standings, 66-66-71-70 -- 273, -7, 2nd

Since the 2004 season -- when Donald posted his first runner-up finish at the Buick Invitational -- only Tiger Woods (15) and Jim Furyk (13) have more second-place finishes.
Nick Watney, No. 12 in the Final FedExCup standings, 71-74-63-67 -- 275, -5, T4
One day after closing with nine birdies on the final 11 holes en route to a third-round 7-under 63 (which included an East Lake Golf Club back-nine record with a 7-under 28), Nick Watney carded a 5-under 30 on the front nine to pull within one shot of the lead as he made the turn on Sunday afternoon. Beginning on No. 8 Saturday, Watney played his next 20 holes (through No. 9 on Sunday) at 14-under-par. He failed to make a back-nine charge, however, finishing with a 3-under 67 to finish T4.
