Q. Well, it's not exactly the kind of round you wanted out there. Just talk about your round.

BRENDON DE JONGE: I obviously got off to a poor start and then kind of behind the 8 ball all day just trying to claw back. Obviously, making 3 at the last helps a lot.

Q. At 18, were you kind of out there on the fairway thinking, I'm just going to go for this? It doesn't really matter?

BRENDON DE JONGE: Well, I knew I could make a birdie. I was a little bit out of the round, but obviously to make 3 was a big bonus.

Q. What did you hit out there? I saw you change clubs. Did you go up, or did you go down?

BRENDON DE JONGE: I went down. I hit 3 iron. Obviously, it gave me enough, and it worked out well.

Q. Were you thinking you weren't going to have enough, or what were you thinking?

BRENDON DE JONGE: I was almost in between clubs. The wind laid down a little bit, and I knew I had to hit all of my 3 iron to get it up there. It obviously came out nice.

Q. How does it feel catching yourself kind of fighting back after your poor start there on the back nine?

BRENDON DE JONGE: Yeah, it was nice. It was a tough start to the day, and it feels good to have a safe finish with a 3.

Q. I'm repeating here, but you're in contention to win for the first time with a chance to win for the first time, in contention a lot this year. What would that mean to win out there?

BRENDON DE JONGE: It would be huge. Obviously, any time you get in contention in any golf tournament, it would be huge. I'm excited for tomorrow. Hopefully get off to aed good start, see what happens.

Q. Did the course play differently today than it did the last couple of days?

BRENDON DE JONGE: No, not so much. We had perhaps a little bit more wind today than we have had. The greens dried out and got pretty crusty and quick out there, but I wouldn't say too much different.
