Round 4 Notebook: Children's Miracle Network Classic

Weather: Mostly sunny with temperatures reaching 77 degrees. Winds from the NNE at 5-10 mph.

Robert Garrigus shot a bogey-free 8-under-par 64 in the final round to come from five shots behind on the final day to win his first PGA TOUR title by three shots. Second- and third-round leader Roland Thatcher finished solo second to secure his TOUR card for 2011.

• Thatcher, Michael Connell and Mark Wilson (previously exempt) are the only players to move into the top-125 on the money list following the Children's Miracle Network Classic. Michael Allen, Troy Matteson (previously exempt) and Woody Austin dropped out of the top-125 this week.

• Garrigus is the first player since John Daly (1995 British Open) to lead the PGA TOUR in driving distance and win in the same season.

• In eight of the last 11 years, the winner of the Children's Miracle Network Classic has posted all four rounds in the 60s. Three of the last four winners of the Disney event have had a round in the 70s including Garrigus' third round 70. Stephen Ames recorded a round of 70 in both years he won in 2007 and 2009.

• Garrigus is the fourth player to overcome a five-stroke or more deficit on the final day to win this season on TOUR. Stuart Appleby came back from seven strokes behind to win the Greenbrier Classic, Bubba Watson came back from six strokes to win the Travelers Championship and Matt Kuchar came back from five strokes down to win The Barclays.

• Garrigus' five-shot, final-round comeback is one short of the tournament record. Larry Nelson (1987) and Duffy Waldorf (2000) own the tournament mark for largest final-round comeback at six strokes. He recorded the largest final-round comeback since Ryan Palmer came from five back in 2004 with a final-round 62.

• Garrigus is the 15thfirst-time winner on TOUR this season. Arjun Atwal was the last to do so at the Wyndham Championship.

• Garrigus won in his fifth start at Disney. His previous best finish in the Children's Miracle Network Classic was T10 in 2008. He missed the cut in 2006, 2007 and 2009.

• Roland Thatcher (2nd) came into the week No. 179 on the money list and in need of a solo second-place finish to get inside the top-125. He finished No. 122 on the money list.

• At the beginning of this season Brett Wetterich (T17) had 17 events to earn $731,077 in his Major Medical Exemption. He will have one more event in 2011 to try to earn $220,405 to keep his Major Medical Exemption.

• Heath Slocum came into the week No. 30 on the money list and held onto that spot to earn a spot into the 2011 Masters and 2011 U.S. Open.

• Charles Howell III recorded 13 bogey-free rounds this season, best on TOUR.

• Twenty-one of the last 29 Children's Miracle Network Classics have now been decided by a single stroke or in a sudden-death playoff. This year was the first time it was not a single-stroke or less since 2006.

• Rickie Fowler finished the season with seven top-10s to lead all rookies.

• Vijay Singh (69-71-68-67) increased his tournament-best streak to 34 straight rounds under par at the Children's Miracle Network Classic. Singh, who won here in 2003, has never shot a score higher than 71 in eight previous Classic appearances.

• Davis Love III recorded a hole-in-one with a 4-iron from 200 yards on the par-3 15th hole. It was the third hole-in-one of the week and Love's second ace of the year.

• The field averaged 70.956 on the par-72 Magnolia Course. The hardest hole this week on the Magnolia Course was the par-4 5th hole (4.284), while the easiest was the par-5 10th (4.469).
