Rickie Fowler has committed to play in the season-ending Childrens Miracle Network Classic next week.
The 22-year-old may have some jet lag, of course, after competing in Malaysia and China the past two weeks. But Fowler will be at the PGA TOUR's season-ending event to challenge Troy Merritt for the Kodak Challenge and its $1 million prize.
Merritt currently owns a one-stroke lead in the year-long competition, which consists of a player's best cumulative score on 18 of the 30 holes in the Kodak Challenge. Fowler and Aaron Baddeley are one stroke back at 16 under.
The Kodak Challenge hole on the Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Resort is the 17th, a 485-yard par 4.
Fowler will be playing in his fifth straight event -- in three different countries and four different time zones. Players have until Friday at 5 p.m. to commit to play in the Children's Miracle Network Classic.
