VAUGHN TAYLOR. He's hot right now -- two top-10s in his last two starts. And he has decent history here -- a T12 and T14.
Mike McAllister |
 | CARL PETTERSSON. Pettersson comes off a sixth-place finish at the AT&T National, his best showing since his first start of the year in Hawaii. He ranks third on
TOUR in putting average, which should serve him well at TPC Deere Run.
Ryan Smithson |
JOHN SENDEN. It has been very tough to pick sleepers this year, and this week is no exception. Putting seems to be de-empasized at TPC Deere Run, so Senden is never a bad pick here.
Brian Wacker |
BRENDON de JONGE. He has quietly put together a very solid season with four top-10s, including one in Hartford just two weeks ago. He'll get another one this week at the John Deere. |
Lauren Deason |
JONATHAN BYRD. Byrd won this tournament in 2007 and though he's struggled much of the year, he might have started turning things around last week in Aronimink, finishing T16.
John Swantek |
CHARLIE WI. Was really impressed with his 4th-place finish at Aronimink after he showed some flashes during a T21 the week before in Hartford. He'll be confident on a course where he finished T4 in 2008.
Helen Ross |
DAVIS LOVE III. He found out this week that he'd be playing in his 24th straight Open Championship. Why not head over there with momentum and that elusive 21st victory?
Casey Black |
MARC LEISHMAN. He's looking for his first win on TOUR, but he's 47th In the FedExCup standings. He's logged six top-25s including two top-10s. He's coming off a tie for seventh at AT&T National and should be ready for that first win.
