PARAMUS, N.J. -- Here's a quick look at the latest FedExCup projections and implications following the second round of The Barclays:

These players started inside the top 100 but are currently projected to finish outside the top 100, which is the field size for next week's Deutsche Bank Championship

Top-five watch
Here's how the top five in points going into The Barclays have fared:
1. ERNIE ELS Made the cut on the number after shooting a second straight 71
2. STEVE STRICKER Current at 2 under after his second-straight 70
3. JIM FURYK Ineligible for tournament after missing pro-am tee time
4. PHIL MICKELSON Missed cut after shooting 74; blamed problems off the tee
5. JUSTIN ROSE Shot a 2-under 69 on Friday, which included an eagle at par-5 17th
The top five in the FedExCup points standings is important, since the top five going into THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola control their own fate in regards to winning the FedExCup.
Bubble watch
Bubble Tournament Comment
100 Deutsche Bank Championship Seven players from outside the top 100 are projected to move inside the bubble: Kevin Streelman, Ryuji Imada, Tiger Woods, Jonathan Byrd, Troy Matteson, David Duval and J.P. Hayes. The bubble boy going into this week, No. 100 Jeff Maggert, withdrew on Friday with a shoulder injury and is all but officially eliminated from the Playoffs.
70 BMW Championship In addition to Imada, six other players from outside the top 70 are projected to move inside the bubble: Martin Laird, John Senden, Tim Petrovic, Webb Simpson, Angel Cabrera and Josh Teater. The bubble boy going into this week, No. 70 Justin Leonard, made the cut on the number.
30 THE TOUR Championship In addition to Streelman, two other players from outside the top 30 are projected to move inside the bubble: Vaughn Taylor and Stewart Cink. The bubble boy going into this week, Stuart Appleby, is 1 under and will play on the weekend.
