MasterCard offers fans great savings at The Barclays

Paramus, N.J. -- The Barclays tournament officials announced new savings and special offers for all fans who use their MasterCard card for a variety of purchases in conjunction with The Barclays when it returns to The Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, N.J., Aug. 24-29. The first event in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, The Barclays will again feature the top 125 players on the FedExCup points list following the PGA TOUR's 37-event Regular Season.

Fans who use their MasterCard card to purchase a daily grounds ticket (Thursday-Sunday) will pay only $35, plus tax and fees, a savings of more than 22 percent off the normal price of $45. To redeem this savings, fans can go to thebarclaysgolf.com, click on tickets, and then click on the link related to the MasterCard savings.

Once onsite, every fan who spends $75 with their MasterCard in The Barclays Golf Shop presented by MasterCard® from Tuesday-Saturday will receive two complimentary Sunday Grounds tickets. With a $75 MasterCard purchase during the final round, fans will receive two Sunday tickets to The 2011 Barclays at Plainfield Country Club in Edison, N.J.

In addition, MasterCard cardholders can take advantage of the "MasterCard Birdie Meal" at all exterior concession stands. This entitles the cardholder to add on to any hot or cold sandwich the following: chips and a soda or water for only $3 or chips and a beer for $5.
