Weather: Sunny and cool in the morning with lows in the 40s before warming to the mid-60s in the afternoon.

• Monday's finish was the first on a Monday since last October's Turning Stone Resort Championship.

Bill Haas joined his father, Jay (1988), as the winner of this tournament. By virtue of his win, they became the eighth father-son combo to win on the PGA TOUR. The last to do so were Al and Brent Geiberger.

• Haas becomes the sixth first-time winner of this event and the third in the last four years. The previous first-time winners include: Bill Rogers (1978), Craig Stadler (1980), Donnie Hammond (1986), Charley Hoffman (2007) and Pat Perez (2009).

• Prior to his win, Haas' previous best finishes were a pair of T3s. The first came at the 2008 Viking Classic and the other was at the 2009 Valero Texas Open.

• When Jay Haas won the Bob Hope Classic in 1988, he finished with a 90-hole score of 22-under-par 338. Bill finished with a total of 30-under-par 330.

• Bill Haas earned 500 points in the season-long FedExCup race and moves into a tie with Geoff Ogilvy for second place in that category in that race after three official events. Ryan Palmer leads with 527 points.

Behind the Numbers
Bill Haas this week at the Bob Hope Classic:
Catagory Stat Field rank
Fairways Hit 51 of 68 (75 percent) T32
Greens in Regulation 75 of 90 (83.3 percent) 1
Putts Per Round 27.8 T23
Driving Distance 276.9 14

• Haas' 8-under-par 64 was the lowest final round by a winner since Phil Mickelson shot a 64 in the final round in 2002. It was also Haas' best final round in his PGA TOUR career.

• This marks the fourth straight year a player has come from behind in the final round to capture the Bob Hope Classic. Haas joined Charley Hoffman (2007), D.J. Trahan (2008) and Pat Perez (2009).

Tim Clark's T2 finish was the eighth in his PGA TOUR career and second at this event. He was also T2 in 2005. Clark remains winless on the PGA TOUR in 197 career starts.

• Haas is the eighth consecutive winner of this event who came into the tournament without a victory the previous year.

• Former University of Southern California golfer Jamie Lovemark has a lengthy trip ahead of him this evening. The 2007 NCAA individual winner, Lovemark will board a plane this evening and travel to New Zealand where he will compete in this week's Michael Hill New Zealand Open on the Nationwide Tour. Alex Prugh, a fifth-place finisher here, won the inaugural event in 2009.

• Defending champion Pat Perez closed with a 6-under-par 66 to finish T25.

• Tim Clark posted more birdies than any other player in the tournament with 36, two more than Haas and Matt Kuchar. Clark also led all players in fewest putts per round with 25.80.

Mike Weir's string of 67s at this event ended at five on Monday when he finished with a 6-under-par 66. Weir had posted a 67 in his final round in 2009 before running off four more prior to Monday's final round.

Steve Elkington's T15 finish was his best showing since he was T14 at the 2008 Legends Reno-Tahoe Open.
