The golfing fraternity of India never had it so good. An exciting chapter in the long history of Indian golf has just began. Our Honorable Chairman's vision, fueled with passion of sculpting the beauty and character of the Sahyadri Ranges, which lies 25 kilometers southwest of Lonavala, produced one of India's finest courses.

Designed by David Hemstock, Aamby Valley Golf Course is a sheer visual delight and a marvel of British Golf Architecture waiting to be conquered by those who value the challenges, pristine outdoors, constantly changing conditions and variety that really defines the essence of this wonderful game called "golf."

Immediately the game begins by testing the golfers with undulating fairways and subtly-contoured greens with strategically-placed bunkers. Sitting in the valley of Sahyadri Ranges of the Western Ghats and spread over 250 acres, the par-72 course is a surreal experience. With hills on all sides and a vast expanse of lakes within, the air is crisp and fresh. The birds sing, peacock dash across the fairways and the deer peep, making your day. The Aamby Valley Golf Course is an experience which has no parallel in the country.

The Championship Golf Course is a fully flood-lit 18-hole facility and was rated the best in India for 2004-2005 by Professional Golfer's Association of India. For this enviable position all the top golf courses of India were rated for their design, maintenance, presentation of the course, facility on offer and service of the staff, the fact that Aamby Valley Golf Course emerged far ahead of the pack was really not a surprise.

The facility boasts of a state-of-the-art golf academy certified by British PGA. With 24 practice bays and three air-conditioned teaching bays housing GASP teaching software, the academy is certainly a trend-setter, a facility the country desperately needed. The Academy operations is handled by two Indian Pros qualified from PGA, Belfry, United Kingdom.
