Making the team is the really exciting time in your life. The first time I had a chance to make it I was a guy who was close and on the bubble for a lot of the time in the summer leading up to the time the team was announced. I ended up finishing outside the top 12. I think I might have been 13th maybe that year. So I came close and the disappointment of not making it was pretty real. The next three times I made it I was well in. In fact I might have finished second or third in the points so I basically had qualified for the team well ahead of time. So the whole summer leading up to the Ryder Cup I was a lock for the team. When you get to that point that you know you are going to be on the team it's a very, very, very satisfying and gratifying and exciting moment.
I think there are so many special moments so its hard to pick out one for me, but the most gratifying moment just happened which was the comeback in '99. I wouldn't pick out any one special moment as much as one special day. From the start to the finish that day it was an amazing day; so much happened and so much went on. There are so many memories, but that day may be the greatest day of my golfing life. I enjoyed that day more than any day that I can ever remember."
