The final round of the McGladrey Classic is set to begin Sunday. Here's a preview.

Groups we're watching:
Tee time Players
1:30 p.m. ET
No. 1
Tom Pernice Jr., Davis Love III
Pernice, 51, is showing he can still play on TOUR while Love III had a strong Saturday and is in position to contend at home.
2 p.m. ET,
No. 1
David Toms, Joe Durant
This duo was in Saturday's final pairing and, though they've moved back, they are still in the hunt for the win.
2:10 p.m. ET,
No. 1
Heath Slocum, Troy Merritt
Slocum should be steady after having just two bogeys in 54 holes, while the rookie Merritt could make this final pairing very exciting to watch.

EXPERT PREVIEW: PGA TOUR on-site correspondent John Maginnes previews Sunday's action:

Sunday's forecast

Sunny
Temp: 84 high/64 low
Chance of precipitation 0 percent. Winds from S around 8 mph.

There are a lot of storylines to follow into the final round at the inaugural McGladrey Classic. Troy Merritt is trying to avoid the Qualifying Tournament which he won last year. That is one tournament that you never want to defend. Joe Durant and David Toms are both trying to win for the first time since 2006. Heath Slocum is trying to do what Bill Haas did last week and that is win a Fall Series event and move into the top 30 on the money list. A top 30 money list finish puts you in all the majors next season. Haas is also trying to do something that no one has done on TOUR this year -- win in consecutive weeks.

It seems likely that one of the above names will win the McGladrey Classic on Sunday but there are some wily veterans lurking ready to take advantage of any misstep. Tom Pernice Jr., at the age of 51, is pushing the envelope on both the PGA TOUR and the Champions Tour. He came into the McGladrey at No. 142 on the money list and was planning on using the Fall Series as a springboard to fully exempt status on the PGA TOUR for 2011. Davis Love III, this week's host, played himself back into contention on Saturday with a 65. He doesn't need to worry about being exempt but he would love to win on his island, in his hometown as much as anywhere. "I feel more pressure at Hilton Head and Jacksonville than I do here," he said on Saturday afternoon. "Here I know everyone."

The golf course has been impeccable all week bathed in sunshine with just a hint of breeze. Expect more of the same on Sunday. The guys at the top of the leaderboard know that with ideal conditions that the chasers will be gunning for them and that there is a very real possibility that someone will go low.
