In a surprise, Pavin rounds out U.S. team with Fowler

Tiger Woods will play in next month's Ryder Cup as a Captain's Pick, Team USA Captain Corey Pavin announced Tuesday in New York City.

Stewart Cink, Zach Johnson and Rickie Fowler are Pavin's three other Captain's selections.

Johnson won the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in May and was 11th in the Ryder Cup points. Cink last won the 2009 British Open and was 14th in points.

Fowler, a rookie, is winless on TOUR but has two runner-up finishes in 2010. He was 20th in Ryder Cup points.
