I have precisely zero of the necessary skills to excel at the game of golf. There, I said it. Denial ain't so bad, I guess. And it's not like my handicap can hide it. (OK, so I can putt a little.) I sail from the land of Rotoworld.com, where I was the non-competing, fantasy golf columnist for two years and occasional contributor to its parent, NBCSports.com. I've been immersed in the golf fantasy game since 1994 and I don't play any other fantasy sport. To be good at this one, it consumes more time than the others hands down, so I made the choice long ago to be completely vested in it. The moral of this story is that you have my undivided attention and unwavering empathy.

I am over the moon about joining PGATOUR.COM. To say that my role here is a goal attained is an understatement, and I plan on engaging with you my passion and energy from Tiger Woods down to, well, you'll have to see for yourself who ranks No. 240 (plus one) below. And not just in this full-membership fantasy ranking, but throughout the season and beyond.

You'll see my byline and mug shot here and there, and I look forward to collaborating with others on doing our best to fulfill your expectations. To that point, I make myself personally and privately available via e-mail: FantasyInsider@charter.net. Just like at Rotoworld, where I will continue to contribute behind the scenes, I will respond to all e-mails. That is a promise. All I ask is for your patience for my reply as I'm not sure of the potential volume.

I live, eat and breathe fantasy golf and am cognizant of the numerous formats that exist. While my work here will include a direct preview of the Yahoo! game found on this site, expect references to the long-terms, keepers, partials, salaries, majors, one-and-dones, duffers, dailies, weeklies and anything else that is relevant. If you don't get what you want, e-mail me. In due time, we will have an injury report, a newcomer to the site. I'll also be migrating over my weekly update of the major qualifiers, Reshuffle, Rookies and medical extensions. Basically, all of the content impacting your fantasy game will be available in some format.

So now, here are my 2010 fantasy projections. They are ranked in cheat-sheet format for draft leagues that fire up in the coming days and weeks. Beside many are plusses and minuses. Those speak to the salary leagues based on 2009 earnings. Golfers without a Plus or Minus are virtual pushes. All golfers through conditional status members are listed, including all medical extensions. All non-members who finished 2009 inside the top 50 on the Official World Golf Ranking are also included.

Finally, you'll immediately notice that most golfers are tagged with a comment like any you'd see in a fantasy mag for team sports. The ranking itself is a full-season projection of where I believe the golfers will finish. It does not necessarily represent where golfers should get drafted, so many of the comments address that.

My philosophy: This is a game. I take it very seriously, but I treat it accordingly. My sense of humor, sarcasm and swagger contribute to the equation. You'll understand once you dive into the comments. And I guess this is where I should mention that my opinions do not necessarily represent those of PGATOUR.COM or the PGA TOUR. You know the drill.

My goal: I want to put you in the position where you have to agree or disagree with me. I do not straddle fences. Mistakes will be made, and until they are, no one is a better fantasy owner.
