Only two players can replace Ernie Els as No. 1 in the FedExCup standings this week with a win (Ben Crane and Robert Allenby), but any player currently ranked 133rd or better can move into the top 20. Of those, ten have the opportunity to crack the top 10.
On the top of that list is Zach Johnson, who won two weeks ago at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. A second win could move him as high as fourth in the FedExCup standings.
On the bottom is Charles Howell III, who would need a win to move to eighth. His best finish this season is a T4 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The following is a closer look at 10 players trying to play their way into the Top 10 in the FedExCup standings, and what result at TPC Southwind it will take to do so.
