The 2010 West Coast swing on the PGA TOUR ended this past weekend and with nine events down, the race to the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup is one-quarter done.

With nine of the 37 regular season events completed, Dustin Johnson holds the top spot with 793 points. Just behind Johnson is Steve Stricker who trails by only 13 points as the TOUR heads to Florida.

At this point in the season last year, Geoff Ogilvy held the top spot with 1,176 points and was 437 points ahead of his nearest rival. The race is a lot closer this year with 16 players less than 437 points behind Johnson.

It took 354 points to qualify for the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup last year and if that holds true again this season, 18 players will have already earned a spot in The Barclays.

Three players who were among the top 10 at this point last year are back again in the top 10 -- Ogilvy (1st in '09, 7th in '10), Johnson (3rd and 1st) and Stricker (8th to 2nd).

Several players have made dramatic improvement over their position at this same time last year led by J.P. Hayes who was 199th last year and 37th now, a gain of 162 places. Bryce Molder (208-53), Brandt Snedeker (168-15) and David Duval (180-29) all gained more than 150 places in the standings.

Here's a look at the 2009 and 2010 top 10s following the conclusion of the West Coast swing.
