WOODLANDS, Texas -- Tournament officials announced today that the 2009 Administaff Small Business Classic, scheduled for October 12-18 at The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course, will offer free grounds admission, parking and shuttle service to the public.

"We wanted to do something special for the golf fans in the Houston area this year," said Executive Director Bryan Naugle. "In our first five years, the people in this area have supported us so much. With the support of Administaff, UnitedHealthcare, Hewlett Packard and our other corporate partners we are able to offer this opportunity to see some of the game's greatest players. The game of golf and the Champions Tour is all about giving back. During these challenging economic times we are glad we can do our part."
The Administaff Small Business Classic has become one of the strongest events on the Champions Tour schedule and traditionally nearly all of the top 30 players compete. In 2008, the tournament received the prestigious Presidents Award as the best event on the Champions Tour. Past champions include Larry Nelson, Jay Haas, Mark McNulty and two-time winner Bernhard Langer.
For the second year, the Administaff Small Business Classic will be conducted at The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course -- former home of the Houston Open. Many of the current members of the Champions Tour competed here during their years on the PGA TOUR and were excited to return last year.
