Who will win the SAS Championship? Champions Tour producer Lauren Deason and former PGA TOUR and Champions Tour winner Joe Inman make their picks.
Inman captured one title on the PGA TOUR at the 1976 Kemper Open, and won the SBC Senior Classic -- now the AT&T Champions Classic -- three consecutive times on the Champions Tour. He's currently the men's golf coach at Georgia State University.
Inman and Deason will each choose one player they consider a favorite as well as a sleeper pick. Here are their selections for this week's event in Cary, N.C. |

Winner: Three-way tie. I'm torn between three guys -- Larry Mize, Mark O'Meara and Tom Lehman -- who've played well but haven't won an individual event yet. This triumvirate has a history of winning on the PGA TOUR and one of them is going to breakthrough this week.

Winner: Loren Roberts. Words can't quite explain how spectacular he's been in '09 -- you'll have to look for yourself. So how has he recorded 11 top-10s in 17 starts? Hint: He leads the Tour in putting average, scoring average and scrambling. Look for him to dominate again.

| Sleeper: Mason or McKnight. There are two guys I'd love to see win out on the Champions Tour -- James Mason and Tom McKnight. They are two of my good friends and, even though you might not know them, they are great guys. I'm hoping that one of them has a big week. |
Sleeper: Hal Sutton. At 31st in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, he just barely qualifies as a sleeper. His last three starts have been a solo fifth, a T53 and a T4 - I'm hoping the 14-time PGA TOUR winner walks away with his first Champions Tour victory at the SAS Championship. |
