Expert picks: AT&T Champions Classic

AT&T CHAMPIONS CLASSIC: Tee times | Field | Power Rankings | INSIDE: The Field

PGATOUR.COM will have expert picks and sleepers for each Champions Tour event this year. Champions Tour producer Lauren Deason will select two players each week, as will former PGA TOUR and Champions Tour winner Joe Inman.

Inman captured one title on the PGA TOUR at the 1976 Kemper Open, and won the SBC Senior Classic -- now the AT&T Champions Classic -- three consecutive times on the Champions Tour. He's now the men's golf coach at Georgia State University.

Inman and Deason will each choose one player they consider a favorite that week and a sleeper pick (a player who is not in the top 20 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings). Here are their selections for this week's ACE Group Classic.

Winner: Joey Sindelar. Picking the winner is harder than it seems! I think Joey will breakthrough this week for his first Champions Tour win. Just look at how well he's played this year, with a tie for seventh and a runner-up finish in his past two starts.	Winner: Loren Roberts. I don't stand a chance since I'm picking against Joe, a three-time winner of this event. That being said, I think I've figured out who will win. Roberts has been runner-up at Valencia CC in the past two years and is currently second on the Charles Schwab Cup list after one 2009 win.
Sleeper: Jay Haas. For my dark horse, I'm picking Haas. It's hard to call the 12-time Champions Tour winner a sleeper, but he hasn't started as well this year as he has in the last few years so I think he'll be hungry this week.	Sleeper: Denis Watson. Hey, whenever the defending champion qualifies as a sleeper, you have to pick him. He's T21 in Charles Schwab Cup points but tied for fourth in the Tour's last event. Watson likes this mini-California swing.

LAST WEEK: Neither Lauren Deason nor Joe Inman had players finish in the top 10 to earn Charles Schwab Cup points at The ACE Group Classic. He's taken the early lead in the standings.
