BALTIMORE, Md. -- Tournament officials today announced that major champions Hal Sutton and Bob Tway will make their first-ever appearance at the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship when the Champions Tour's final major of the season returns to Baltimore Country Club on September 28-October 4.

Sutton is a 14-time PGA TOUR winner over a career that stretched from 1982-2006. At the 2000 PLAYERS Championship, Sutton went head-to-head with Tiger Woods and came away with a one-stroke, wire-to-wire victory. The win came 17 years after his first PLAYERS win in 1983. Sutton earned a major title at the 1983 PGA Championship after defeating Jack Nicklaus by one stroke at Riviera Country Club.

The Louisiana native became eligible for the Champions Tour in 2008 and made his debut at the Administaff Small Business Classic in October. Through 16 Champions Tour starts, Sutton's best finish is T3 at the 2009 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am.

Tway is an eight-time PGA TOUR winner who made his Champions Tour debut a week after celebrating his 50th birthday at the Regions Charity Classic earlier this year. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma, Tway has been a fixture on TOUR for over 25 years, making nearly 700 starts during that period. His best year came in 1986 when he collected four titles and finished second on the money list. Perhaps the highlight of that year was his memorable hole out from a greenside bunker on the 18th hole at the Inverness Club to beat Greg Norman by two strokes at the PGA Championship, earning his first and only major title.

Tway has bounced between the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour this season, making 12 and four starts on each Tour, respectively.

The Champions Tour caps a three-week stretch out West with this week's Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.
