The second leg of the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup takes place this week in Norton, Mass. Here's how the PGATOUR.COM experts sized up the top contenders:

EXPERT PICKS How it works: Our 10 experts from PGATOUR.COM select the player they think will win this week's event. By using a draft process, no two picks can be the same. Click here SLEEPER PICKS Of the players who didn't make the cut for our top 10 picks, which have the best chance as sleepers? Here's how our experts see it. |
| Sleeper picks: Deutsche Bank Championship |
Ryan Smithson |
BRANDT SNEDEKER. Sleeper picks must be players who haven't won recently (within in the last two years) and who are outside of the top 30 in FedExCup points. Brandt will probably qualify for this status for one more week.
John Swantek |
ROBERT ALLENBY. At 32nd in the points standings, he sneaks into the sleeper category. And with the rare luxury of an early pick, I'm not apologizing for it. The new putting grip has revived the confidence of the Aussie, who's a serious threat to win this week.
Brian Wacker |
FRED COUPLES. Presidents Cup Captain Freddie will have one eye on potential Captain's picks and one eye on the golf course. He finished in the middle of the pack last week at Liberty National, but TPC Boston suits him much better and in 2005 he finished T8 there.
Helen Ross |
FREDRIK JACOBSON. A new driver and a new caddy seem to have this Swede on the upswing. In his last eight rounds, he's only shot over par once, and Jacobson hung around the top of the leaderboard all week at Liberty National before tying for sixth.
Win McMurry |
KEVIN STREELMAN. After a solid season the sophomore ranks 89th in the FedExCup standings. To advance this week, he needs to perform like he did last year during the Playoffs, where he tied for fourth at The Barclays in '08 to finish 35th in the standings. |
Mike McAllister |
BILL HAAS. The big-hitting Haas (15th on TOUR in driving distance) has been playing well lately, with top-25 finishes in his last three starts. Eight of his last 13 rounds on TOUR have been in the 60s. |
Ceri Mobley |
JUSTIN ROSE. I rarely take the same sleeper back to back, but he has played well here in the past (two top-fives), and he must get a good finish in Boston if he wants to make it to Chicago.
Mark Spoor |
CHAD CAMPBELL. Campbell posted back-to-back 70s over the weekend at Liberty National, and he finished with a top-10 last year at TPC Boston. He also has two top-25s in his past four TOUR starts. Here's hoping hes mmm, mmm, good this week.
T.J. Auclair |
RYUJI IMADA. He barely snuck into this week's field, slipping from No. 90 to No. 99 in the standings after a missed cut at The Barclays. A new week is a new opportunity. In his last three trips to TPC Boston, he's finished no worse than T18, highlighted by a T13 in '08.
Lauren Deason |
BRETT QUIGLEY. He's 0-for-358 on TOUR, but the New Englander has three runner-up finishes in '09, so he's come close. We've already had so many surprise champs and heartwarming stories this year on TOUR; if Quigley wins, he'd be continuing that trend. |
LAST WEEK: Ryan Smithson moved into second by picking up the most points with Brandt Snedeker (T12 at The Barclays) last week, while Lauren Deason took the overall lead with her sleeper pick of Jonathan Byrd (T24).
