Bridgestone Invitational joins TICKETS Fore CHARITY

The World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational will help Northeast Ohio charities improve the quality of life in the region through TICKETS Fore CHARITY"!-- a unique fundraising initiative that provides registered 501(c)(3) organizations with the opportunity to promote PGA TOUR tournament tickets, with 100 percent of the net proceeds donated to charity.

In its first year at the Bridgestone Invitational, the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program will include area charities to promote Good Any One Day Gallery Tickets for $35 to the event. This year's Bridgestone Invitational will be held from Aug. 4-9, 2009, at Firestone Country Club. Participating charities will receive 75 percent of the proceeds from the ticket sales they generate, with the remaining 25 percent going to the support The First Tee chapters of Cleveland, Akron and Canton.

"The Bridgestone Invitational is proud of the relationship we've developed with The First Tee of Cleveland, Akron and Canton, and we are pleased that proceeds from our tournament will continue to help the young men and women enrolled in their programs," said Bridgestone Invitational Executive Director Don Padgett. "We're excited to broaden the scope of the tournament's charitable contributions by including more non-profit organizations in northeast Ohio through TICKETS Fore CHARITY, ultimately helping these organizations in their goal of improving lives throughout our region."

The TICKETS Fore CHARITY initiative will run from May 28-Aug. 3. The program not only provides 501(c)(3) organizations with a no-risk, easy-to-implement fundraising vehicle, but also gives them the rare opportunity to become aligned with one of professional golf's most prestigious tournaments.
