The PGA TOUR continues its Florida Swing this week at the Transitions Championship. Here's how the PGATOUR.COM experts sized up the top contenders:
SLEEPER PICKS How it works: Our 10 experts from PGATOUR.COM select any player who isn't ranked in the top 20 of the FedExCup rankings, the top 30 of the Official World Golf Ranking and hasn't won that season. By using a draft process, no two picks can be the same. EXPERT PICKS Who do our experts think will capture the Transitions Championship title? Here's who they've picked to win. Click here |

| Sleeper picks: Transitions Championship |
Mark Spoor |
ROD PAMPLING. Pampling just got his first top-10 finish of the season (ninth) at Doral last week, tying some guy named Tiger Woods. He hasn't missed a cut in four starts this season. It might be his week. |
Helen Ross |
BRETT QUIGLEY. Quigley nearly picked up the first win of his career last weekend, tying for second in Puerto Rico. The Rhode Islander turned Floridian tied for 13th at The Honda Classic, too, so he's riding a hot streak. |
Ryan Smithson |
BRIAN GAY. I am really happy that Gay fell out of the top 20 in the FedExCup standings. He's officially a sleeper pick again.
Lauren Deason |
RYUJI IMADA. He finished second last year at Innisbrook, then captured his first PGA TOUR win several weeks later at the AT&T Classic. I have high hopes that Imada will finish one spot better in Tampa this year. |
Brian Wacker |
TIM CLARK. Like my expert pick, David Toms, Clark doesn't hit it long, but he hits it straight and that will go a long way this week at Innisbrook. He also has two top-10s already this year. |
Win McMurry |
MARK CALCAVECCHIA. The veteran Floridian won at Innisbrook in 2007 and his game has showed promise this year for another victory, especially since he tied for fourth at Pebble Beach. |
T.J. Auclair |
JEFF OVERTON. We heard a lot from him at the end of 2008, turning it on late to secure his card for this season. He enters this week coming off two top-10 finishes and I'm expecting a win from this guy any week now.
Ceri Mobley |
JOHN SENDEN. This Aussie came in second at Innisbrook the last two years, so maybe third time's the charm. I know I can't get much worse in the standings, so I won't blame John if he can't turn this around for me.
Mike McAllister |
D.A. POINTS. Anyone else outside the Points family realize that Darren Andrew has finished T9 in his last two starts? This is his first TOUR start at Copperhead, but he lives just two hours away, so I suspect he's familiar with it. |
John Swantek |
BEN CRANE. Did you know that Crane is ranked third in the All-Around statistical category? Neither did I. He's ready to handle another tough Florida track after that third at PGA National two weeks ago. |
LAST WEEK: Mark Spoor successfully picked the World Golf Championships-CA Championship winner last week and his sleeper at the Puerto Rico Open presented by Banco Popular was Jason Day, who tied for second. Needless to say, he made a move in both our expert and sleeper standings. Each week, we'll update the standings based on the FedExCup points accumulated by the players selected by our experts. Here's how it stands after Week 10:
