DORAL, Fla. (AP) -- Tiger Woods has entered the World Golf Championships-CA Championship at Doral next week, resuming his return from knee surgery on a Blue Monster course where he has won three times.
Woods played his first tournament in eight months last week at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, where he was eliminated in the second round by Tim Clark of South Africa.
This will be Woods' first stroke-play event since winning the U.S. Open in a playoff last June.
For the second straight World Golf Championships event, every eligible player has entered the tournament. The 77-man field at Doral was determined by the top 50 in the world ranking and top players from money lists around the world. Players still can qualify after this week if they move into the top 10 in the FedExCup standings on the PGA TOUR or The Race to Dubai in Europe, or if they are in the top 50 in the world ranking published on Monday.
Geoff Ogilvy, the Accenture Match Play champion for the second time in four years, is the defending champion at Doral. Ogilvy won last year by one shot over Retief Goosen, Jim Furyk and Vijay Singh, with Woods another shot behind.
Woods has not finished out of the top 10 in his six appearances at Doral. He won for three straight years (2005-07), the last victory when it became a World Golf Championships event.
There is no cut at World Golf Championships events, meaning Woods will play four days.
