DORAL, Fla. -- Winning big events is almost becoming a habit for Geoff Ogilvy. The 31-year-old Aussie took home his third World Golf Championships title Sunday after defeating England's Paul Casey, 4 and 3, in the 36-hole championship match at the Accenture Match Play Championship. Ogilvy won the 2009 season-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship in January and will head to the Blue Course at Doral Resort & Spa, a Marriott Resort, as the CA Championship defending champion ready to take on the world's best players, March 10-15.

"Obviously, it's exciting to return to defend a golf tournament, to go back to where you've played well" said Ogilvy. "I played well the year before too, so the last couple of years I had a great time at Doral. It's a cool tournament. They get a great atmosphere. I'm looking forward to it."

Ogilvy, who also won the 2006 Accenture Match Play Championship and U.S. Open, now owns three World Golf Championships titles, which is second only to Tiger Woods' 15 wins. Woods (15), Ogilvy (3) and Darren Clarke (2) are the only players to win multiple World Golf Championships events. Ogilvy now has six PGA TOUR victories, four of those coming in events in which Woods was in the field, currently making him the youngest player with that distinction.

The top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking as of March 2 earned a spot in this year's CA Championship, as did the top 10 players in the FedExCup point standings and the European Tour's Race to Dubai standings. Due to missing most of the 2008 season with a knee injury, Woods was not qualified for the CA Championship, an event he has won six times, until this week (as No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking).

Other notables qualified include Accenture Match Play Championship runner-up Paul Casey of England (No. 13); 19-year-old Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland, who made it to the quarterfinals of the Accenture Match Play Championship and is now ranked No. 16 in the world; USA's Zach Johnson (No. 30), Dustin Johnson (No. 40) and Boo Weekley (No. 50); and three players from the FedExCup standings who weren't otherwise qualified, all from the USA: Nick Watney, Pat Perez and Charley Hoffman.

Any player who moves into the top 50 of the World Ranking, top 10 of the FedExCup point standings or top 10 of the European Tour's Race to Dubai standings after this week's Honda Classic will also punch a last-minute ticket to Doral. The deadline for players to commit to the CA Championship is Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m. ET.
