TICKETS Fore CHARITY (TFC) is a unique fundraising initiative designed to raise funds for local non-profit organizations in communities where PGA TOUR events are held. Officials announced that the 2010 World Golf Championships-CA Championship, which will again host the best golfers from around the globe on March 8-14 at TPC Blue Monster at Doral, will continue to build on a program launched last year that gives South Florida charities the opportunity to participate in TICKETS Fore CHARITY.

The WGC-CA Championship is providing non-profit organizations with the opportunity to promote the sale tournament tickets to benefit their organization. 100 percent of the net proceeds from the ticket sales go directly to charity -- 75 percent of the net proceeds will benefit the promoting organization and the other 25 percent will benefit The First Tee. The First Tee (www.thefirsttee.org) is an initiative of the World Golf Foundation aimed at positively impacting the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and education programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.

This is an incredible opportunity to strengthen the support within your organization. Fans can experience the best of professional golf, while positively impacting the lives of those in South Florida. Best of all, there are absolutely no costs to your organization. The 2009 CA Championship TICKETS Fore CHARITY program welcomed 50 charities and raised more than $40,000 by promoting tickets sales to the event.

On Feb. 10, 2010, at the CA Championship's annual media day, it was announced that CA, Inc. has pledged $50,000 to help thousands through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program. CA has announced a separate donation of $50,000 to the organizations involved with TICKETS Fore CHARITY on top of the 100 percent of the net proceeds from each ticket sold through the program that already benefits local non-profit organizations. Of that $50,000, $35,000 will be split among all charities participating in the program based on how many tickets they promote the sale of. The remaining $15,000 will be split among the three organizations that promote the sale of the most tickets from Feb. 24-March 10 -- $7,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place, and $3,000 for third place.
