The first groups have teed off in Round 2 of the Frys.com Open. Here's how it sets up:

Groups We're Watching
Tee time Players
9:45 a.m. ET,
Hole No. 10
Nick O'Hern, David Duval, Tim Petrovic
O'Hern enters the day with the lead, but Petrovic isn't far behind and could make a move on Friday.
10:27 a.m. ET,
Hole No. 10
Heath Slocum, George McNeill, Andres Romero
Slocum played bogey-free golf for the first 16 holes on Thursday -- and just may go all 18 without one in Round 2.
2:10 p.m. ET,
Hole No. 10
D.A. Points, Bubba Watson, Jeff Klauk
Klauk and Points shared just one bogey between themselves in Round 1. Don't expect many more bogeys than that today.

Look for players to continue to get a boost in their rounds starting at the 10th tee. The back nine begins with a 390-yard par 4 then a 572-yard par 5, which leads to a quick start. Nick O'Hern used the final nine holes in his round to shoot 28 and post a 7-under 63.

Bob Heintz put an old friend back in his bag a couple of weeks ago and it's been a nice reacquaintance. Heintz went back to a Newport Blade putter that has him playing well. Heintz used it last week while tying for 19th in Las Vegas and it will be in his bag for the second round of the Frys.Com Open. Heintz is once again positioned well after opening with a 6-under 64.

D.A. Points has a lot to look forward to this winter. His wife is due to give birth to their first baby girl in February. He also has more than $1 million in spending money after a solid year on TOUR. Points could add to the total this week after opening with a 5-under 65. He added a new set of Ping irons to his bag this week, ones that already confirm to new standards which take effect in 2010.

Stat of the Day
It was a tale of two nines for Kevin Streelman on Thursday. He began his round on No. 10, posted six birdies and an opening-nine 6-under 29. A birdie on No. 1 and a par on No. 2 left him at 7-under through 11 holes, but he played the remaining holes in 7-over for an opening-round even-par 70.
